Michael Montoya is an architectural designer with more than 30 years of professional experience spanning all aspects of project development, from architectural design to project management. He also has four years of academic leadership in design, serving at the University of Florida as an adjunct professor of design, assistant professor, and graduate teaching assistant. Michael earned both a bachelor of design and master of architecture degree from the University of Florida.
Through a variety of different project roles as well as his academic experience, Michael has gained a thorough understanding of the design and construction processes. Throughout his 30 years in the industry, he has worked on nearly every type of project, including healthcare, government, not for profit, club and amenity, resort, office, multi-family, military, cultural, aviation, religious, and higher education.
At ELM, Michael leads architectural drawings and design for a wide variety of projects, including community amenity, health care and private residential.
