Unveiled this past Saturday at the Bold City Showcase, the Corky Rogers Plaza at The Bolles School was designed to commemorate the career of longtime Bolles football coach Corky Rogers, the winningest coach in Florida high school football history. The tribute to Rogers was presented between the three games in the inaugural Bold City Showcase, which drew over 21,000 high school football fans to the Jacksonville school.

Designed by ELM, the plaza is located outside of the football stadium and includes a monument tower with the number 466 (a tribute to the total number of wins during Rogers’ career), a bulldog statue, and a list of the years of state championship wins from 1990-2011 along the back side of the monument. The tower is surrounded by a paved area for students, teachers, families, and players, along with new benches, palm trees and landscape to help create an intimate and inviting space just outside of the football stadium.

The plaza, a permanent fixture for students, players, and fans, will remain a tribute to Rogers’ career for years to come.
