Nocatee Community Park

PONTE VEDRA, FLORIDA

ELM served as the recreation planners, architects and landscape architects for the 75-acre Nocatee Community Park located in the heart of Nocatee, an important link to the community’s neighborhoods, amenities and roadways. The Community Park includes multi-purpose playfields, a concession building, a dog park, recreational trails, tennis courts and community parking.

The park includes nine sports fields, totaling approximately 30 acres, and a 3,000 sq. ft. open-air concession center, which serves as a casual gathering place for food and beverage services as well as picnics and social gatherings. An extensive series of greenways, trails and boardwalks were designed to weave through the neighborhoods and the natural areas, providing residents with biking, jogging or walking access to the park and other areas of the community.

There’s nothing like it in Northeast Florida, or the state, for that matter. It’s been extremely well received. It is a very high-quality amenity, with beautiful architecture. It’s not often that a designer has the opportunity to do something on that grand a scale, and they did a great job of taking it from concept to reality. And it’s not a static, finished project; we have the flexibility to add things in the future.
