Riverton Heights Park

On the site of a former school, Riverton Heights Park provides a recreational amenity in a culturally diverse and underserved community.

Building upon a past outreach process, Riverton Heights Park introduces new play equipment, a half basketball court, picnic area and a community lawn to a vacant site.

Capitalizing on four large mature shade trees on the site, new features are anchored by the large circular lawn, a place for family gatherings, informal play, and programmed events.

Funded by a Federal Housing Administration grant, the design activates the park while allowing flexibility for future expansion.
